eVerify is a Nigerian online solution facilitated by the Association of Outsourcing Professionals of Nigeria (AOPN) that allows employers/recruiters to track the employment history of new or prospective employees in order to verify if such new hires have been previously involved in any untoward activity reported by previous employer.
It is made possible by the collaborative and cooperative efforts of member organisations and non member companies that provide necessary information about their employees when they are dismissed for unscrupulous activities after the organisation has carried out its investigation. The unscrupulous activities that qualify to be reported here are proven cases of fraud, false academic credentials, false guarantor or past employer details and false personal details rendered. In all cases the staff must have been dismissed.
This makes the Solution a valuable and indispensable tool for employers and recruiters in corporate Nigeria. Furthermore, employees who have faced disciplinary action resulting in suspension or dismissal for involvement in unscrupulous activities tend to move from one employer to another with the possibility of continuing their inappropriate practices.
